Abraham Lincoln Biography

Abraham Lincoln, America's 16th President, was born in Kentucky on February 12, 1809. (USA). Abraham Thomas Lincoln was his full name, and his father was a farmer. He did not attend school for a year and instead taught himself to read and write before becoming a lawyer. He worked in a number of jobs before becoming a successful lawyer, and he eventually entered politics. Slavery was still a concern in the country at the time. The white males had enormous farms in the southern states, and he hired black Africans to work on his property and held them as slaves. The people of the northern states were opposed to slavery and wanted it to be abolished; the American constitution is built on human equality. In 1860, Abraham Lincoln was elected President of the United States of America at a challenging period.
 
He desired to address the issue of slavery. The southern states were opposed to the abolition of slavery. This might jeopardise the country's cohesiveness. The southern states were prepared to establish a new country. However, Abraham Lincoln desired that all of the states be unified. Abraham Lincoln faced several challenges. He was determined to preserve the country's unity at whatever cost. Finally, a civil war erupted between the states of the north and south. He fought bravely in the conflict and proclaimed, "A nation cannot be half slave and half free." He won the war, and the country stayed unified. Abraham Lincoln was sworn in for the second time on March 4, 1865. Lincoln's inauguration address became well-known after the inauguration. Many others were moved to tears as a result of the speech. He was not against anybody and desired that everyone live in harmony.
 
Lincoln declared that all slaves will be freed in 1862. This is why Lincoln stayed popular with the general public. Abraham Lincoln, who had numerous failures in his life, eventually became a successful President of the United States. He was a wonderful American who committed his life to the advancement of the country and society. Lincoln never talked about religion and was not a member of any church. A buddy once inquired about his religious beliefs. "Long ago, I met an old guy in Indiana who used to remark, "When I do good, I feel good, and when I do wrong, I feel horrible," Lincoln added. This is my faith."
 
Death :-
On April 14, 1865, he was shot by a young man called John Wilkies Booth while seeing a play in a theatre in Washington. Following this occurrence, Abraham Lincoln died on the morning of April 15, the second day.
 
Lincoln and one of his colleague attorneys once obtained a court punishment for a sneaky guy who had previously taken the land of a mentally sick widow. The case was heard in court for about fifteen minutes. The fee-sharing startled the associate lawyer after he won. The woman's brother had paid the whole price, and everyone was delighted with the court's judgement, but Lincoln stated - "But I'm not satisfied. That money belongs to a poor patient lady, and I would sooner starve than accept it. You repay him the sum of my charge.
